Fitness background: Matt started swimming at a young age. He won gold and bronze medals at Nationals and was also age champion at his club for 5 years straight. Matt then went on to play AFL were he played in 7 premierships, of which his team won 6. He made the Queensland squat and then was lucky enough to be scouted by a South Australian team. Due to injury, Matt wasn’t able to continue his AFL career. Matt also won the TAS Schools’ high jump event.
Favorite thing about being a trainer / coach: “Working with great people and knowing that they put their trust in you to help them improve their quality of life. When you see their results there is no better feeling.”
Favorite exercises: Barbell squat clean, muscle ups and handstand walking
Most challenging exercise: Pistol squat
Inspiration to train hard and stay committed to goals: “I like knowing that I can do just about anything. And I love looking good and feeling great after a workout!”
Outside the box: Matt loves hanging out with his friends, family and his dogs. He also loves making waves on his jet ski!
